Back in 2023 I signed up to run the London marathon fort local hospital charity and, not knowing much about how to train or fuel for a marathon, I put out an instagram story for trainer recommendations. A friend referred me to James and told me how amazing he had been for their weight loss / gym journey. Fabulous I thought! And so I reached out to James in the hopes he could help. He didn’t just help, he delivered! James wrote and tailored a plan to a T. We had a FaceTime to discuss my life, my schedule and what works best for me. From that information James was able to factor in weight training, long runs, short runs, the whole shebang.
We set a weekly check in for every Friday and when I couldn’t always commit, he would check in via message or reschedule. James was always on hand to help or advise and when I asked for much needed help on how to fuel for the big day and carb load, once again James delivered a person centered meal plan for me to be able to understand how to best prepare. I felt at ease with James and confident in my training. He really knew what he was talking about! So much so that since London marathon I’ve ran Brighton marathon and referred back to the same training plan to recycle and re use. I’m hoping to run another marathon this year and again, I’ll go back to that plan because it helped so much first time around! Thank you so much for your help and kindness James
